SPECIAL

SPECIAL is the essence of your character. They are STRENGTH, PERCEPTION, ENDURANCE, CHARISMA, INTELLIGENCE, AGILITY, and LUCK.

+STRENGTH is pretty obvious. It is used when trying to pry open a door and in melee combat.
+PERCEPTION is your ability to notice the things around you. It covers sight, sound, smell, and is used for weapon range.
+ENDURANCE is your ability to withstand physical damage. This also governs your characters health.
+CHARISMA. Another typical role playing staple, this governs how, well, charismatic you are.
+INTELLIGENCE is your ability to comprehend and retain knowledge. This governs how many skill points you get when you level up.
+AGILITY is how quick your character is. It governs how many action points you have.
+LUCK is pretty much exactly what it is. It governs your chance to critically damage someone, and luck points

Each stat starts at one and cannot go above 10 during character creation. The SPECIAL stats all start at ‘1’. The player is given 21 points to assign amongst the SPECIAL stats however s/he pleases.
